CIVL, the makers of GWR, is a venture of Graphisads – a trailblazer in advertising. Graphisads provides services like outdoor advertising, media services, exhibition & event management and jingle & TV production. CIVL is its flagship towards Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The nation was inspired when our Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the broom in his hands and made a clarion call for “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. Prerequisites to the success of this social movement are an awakened public and the responsible civic bodies. New enterprises with innovative thinking are needed to rise to the occasion and contribute to the Clean India drive.
The major sources of green waste are parks, gardens, hotels, mess, canteens, vegetable markets and temples etc. And the nature of these green wastes ranges from dry leaves and branches, food leftovers, vegetable waste, to used flowers etc.
The enterprise of CIVL, which owes its vision to the prime minister’s, came up with a unique machine to reprocess the Green Waste (organic waste). Rightly named as Green Waste Reprocessor, better known as GWR.
Developed by CIVL after a long period of R&D, trial and testing, GWR is a small but sturdy and high capacity machine which can be installed near the source of waste generation to effectively recycle the waste into useful by-products like compost etc.
By a rough estimate, organic waste constitutes more than 60% of the total urban waste, making up hundreds of truck loads, which is everyday transported to landfill sites. Not only do the landfill sites which accommodate these perishable wastes cause a grave hazard for environment, but also pose a serious threat to ground water quality. Above that, the massive amount of diesel burnt by the trucks further adds to environmental depredation; let alone the money burnt on maintaining the paraphernalia of carriers, fuel, regular repairs and the workforce.
